Food and Wine

Pouilly-Fume is an ideal accompaniment to fish dishes, a particularly good local dish combination is with pike and pikeperch, but most fish dishes would compliment the wines. A wine with two or three years age would better suit the more flavored fish dishes, in particularly the "Les Cocques" wine which comes from the flinty soils. These more mature wines go superbly well whit most white meats and fromage frais dishes.

The younger wines (1-2ys age) go very well with seafood and shellfish, but also commonly drunk before the meal as an aperitif or as an afternoon drink, which is more favoured outside France.
